The complements of the verbs & their pronominalization
You will study the possible complement of the verbs and how to replace them with pronouns. You will study the indirect object complement, the direct object complement, the circumstancial complement, and all the other types. Each one of these complements is related to a set of pronouns used to replace them to avoid repetition, to gain speed and elegancy.
The indicative mood (13 tenses)
At this stage, you normally master the present tense, the future simple, the compound past, the imperfect, the pluperfect, the conditional present.
We will review your knowledge of these tenses and complete it if necessary.
We will also add to the list the rest of the indicative tenses (anterior future, anterior past, simple past etc.) for you master the entire system of the indicative mood.
The conditional mood
The conditional mood is used to express the condition. You will learn and review all the different ways to express the condition using the conditional present, the conditional past, the pluperfect, the present and the future simple.
The active, passive and attributive forms of the verbs
Verbs can have three forms in French. The active form, the passive form and the attributive verbs. You will learn to use them and transform verbs from one to another.
The pronouns
Since in this course you will learn the diverse complements of the verbs and how to pronominalize them, you will therefore learn the sets of pronouns corresponding to these complements. Thanks to them, you will avoid repetition, gain in speed and elegancy.
The adverbs
Like the adjectives, the adverbs have a function of precision. They are used to precise the verbs, the adjectives and the adverbs themselves.
The determiners
You normally master the determiners at this stage.
However, if necessary, we will revise that the determiners are these little words that you put in front of the nouns (le, la, les, un, une, des, etc.). They take the gender and the number of the nouns and they help to identify and quantify the nouns.
The nouns
You normally master the nouns at this stage.
However, if necessary, we will revise that the nouns designate the things populating the world. In French, they have a gender and a number.
